Murder Mystery in Paris

DSCN1060Captain Andrew from the Rotary Club of the BrickhillsThis event had been scheduled for July but the weather had been so awful that  we were forced to reschedule for later on in the year and hope for an "Indian Summer".

We were lucky and whilst it was very windy, it remained dry and warm for most of the day. The afternoon was hosted by Tony and Elspeth in their beautiful new home in a village near Buckingham.

Fabulous food was cooked by Gavin and eaten by most of the club, their partners and offspring.

Stock car Racing in Northampton

Noddy cars round the stock car racing trackIt was a fabulous sunny and warm afternoon in October. We decided to go stockcar racing and we are very lucky as there is a track nearby in Barfield Northampton.

We must remember to take chairs or a blanket next time.

Fireworks in Leighton Buzzard

Rotary Club of the Brickhills and FIREWORKS NIGHTWe descended on Brooklands school in Leighton Buzzard to watch the firework display. It was a dry but a cold November night. There was a huge bonfire which, when lit we could feel the heat from 100 metres away. The children enjoyd themselves very much and loved being up high so they could see everything.

After the display, we went to Graham and Alison's who very kindly fed us baked potatoes and salad.
