Santa float 2014

We've been really lucky this year as the weather has been kind to us and we've had some great trips out with Santa.

We visited Newport Pagnell Poets on 7th December, Great Brickhill on 10th, Bletchley Poets on 14th, Old Farm Park and Browns Wood on 17th and Saints and Far Bletchley on 21st December.

We've been touched by the generosity of the people we've met along the way, but have been delighted to bring some Christmas magic to young and old alike. We've met lots of children who've enjoyed a chat with Santa and we've seen so many faces light up when they've seen him.

Trim Trail Presentation

The club members selected this as their project for 2014/15 and enjoyed raising funds by a variety of means including running a fun casino which was well attended by many residents from the village.

Murder to Remember

DSC05806DSC05845Earlier this month we were delighted that actors from the Court Theatre in Tring brought their production of Murder to Remember by our super talented member Karen to Milton Keynes. This was this year's Rotary Annual Gala which was a joint event run by all the Milton Keynes Rotary clubs, ably led by our own Julie.

Many of the audience came in fancy dress, and especial congratulations to Lesley and family who won the ladies' prize :-)

Thanks also to everyone who helped on the night, including some of our family members.

It is nearly time to see Santa

santa-BrickhillsChristmas approaches it is the time of year when we get our Christmas float ready to take out on the road again. Chief Elf Nigel has had a chat to Santa and he will be joining us for our visits to a number of local estates.

Our Santa Tour will see Santa’s brightly lit sleigh accompanied by the sound of Christmas music and is a magical sight for children and adults alike. Last year’s Santa Tour raised over £1100 which was distributed between local charities Headway MK and Young Carers.

We will be out and about between 6pm and 8pm on :

Sunday 7th December - Poets Estate in Newport Pagnell

Wednesday 10th December – Great Brickhill

Sunday 14th December – Poets Estate in Bletchley

Wednesday 17th December – Browns Wood and Old Farm Park

Sunday 21st December – Saints and Far Bletchley

If you will be in one of these areas at the time of Santa’s Tour, look out for the float and give Santa a wave.

Santa will visit as many streets in each area as possible, but sadly may not be able to visit every street on the estate. Santa’s Tour is dependent on the weather and may have to be cancelled if the weather is very bad.
